Cortaro Farms Road
Camino De Oeste/Thornydale

The proposed improvements consist of widening the existing roadway in order to improve safety, reduce congestion, improve operations and increase mobility. Some of the potential improvements that will be considered and evaluated include additional travel lanes, a raised landscaped median, paved shoulders, extended drainage cross-culverts, provisions for pedestrians and noise mitigation where warranted for adjacent residential areas.

Although the original design of this project was completed back in 2003, PCDOT will be assessing portions of the overall design to see if any refinements/improvements can be made. In addition, the project team will be making the necessary adjustments in order to tie in with the western portion from the Union Pacific Railroad to the vicinity of Camino de Oeste, which was recently completed by the Town of Marana.
