Bridge - Deck Rehabilitation |
$600,000 |
$1,690,000 |
Bridge
deck repairs on the Sabino Canyon Road Bridge over Tanque Verde Creek
(approximately 1500 ft. south of Cloud Rd). |
Project
will rehabilitate the existing bridge deck that has experienced structural
deterioration.
If not done, bridge
load restrictions will be put in place thereby significantly impacting local
traffic including a major bus route. |

rehabilitation project can be designed and built quickly meeting all the ARRA
spending requirements. |
|
| Hohokam Middle School Bicycle & Pedestrian Project |
$575,000 |
$765,000 |
This
project will construct approximately one mile of new paved shoulders on
Tetakusim Road from Camino de Oeste to Sorrel Lane, a new eight-foot wide
shared use path, new concrete headers, ADA-accessible sidewalk ramps, signing
and pavement marking.
Project design
is 100% complete and approval to advertise is pending. |
Project
eliminates unpaved/gravel walking surfaces (which often times act as a
barriers, and/or obstructions) for students, residents and pedestrians.
Also, pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists
will no longer have to share the same space, resulting in increased risk to
all parties. |
This
existing Transportation Enhancement project has completed the federal design
process and is moving forward into the procurement phase for bidding.
Spending of ARRA funds will be completed
per program requirements. |
